In October 2024, the one-of-a-kind Ferrari 488 GTB Liberty Walk in the Vietnamese market officially made a comeback after years of hiding. Unfortunately, this appearance marked the car’s search for a new owner. After a few days on sale, the car was sold to a pre-owned car showroom in Ho Chi Minh City.
The Ferrari 488 GTB Liberty Walk, after being sold by a Ho Chi Minh City-based pre-owned car showroom to a customer in Tay Ninh province, changed its license plate but still appeared in Saigon. Recently, the car was spotted cruising the streets of District 7 with the license plate 70A-526.26.
The license plate 70A-526.26 is quite meaningful, as it represents a lucky number, indicating that the owner will always have money and good fortune. This license plate was auctioned for only VND 40 million.
According to the previous owner of the Ferrari 488 GTB Liberty Walk, the car had traveled over 22,000 kilometers and was owned by the original owner. The asking price was VND 9.35 billion, with a little room for negotiation for serious buyers.
Compared to when it was first modified, the Ferrari 488 GTB Liberty Walk has removed the front bumper modification and the two fish fins on the headlamps. The wheel arches have been widened and fixed with rivets, while the Forgiato wheels and Novitec’s small rear wing remain intact. The interior features a black color scheme. The air suspension system, designed by Air Rex specifically for modified supercars, allows the Ferrari 488 GTB Liberty Walk to raise its ride height up to 18 centimeters from the ground or lower it almost to the ground.
Liberty Walk focused solely on exterior modifications and did not alter the car’s V8, twin-turbocharged engine with a displacement of 3.9 liters. This powerhouse generates a maximum output of 661 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 760 Nm at 3,000 rpm.
The Ferrari 488 GTB’s engine is paired with a 7-speed gearbox, enabling the Liberty Walk-modified supercar to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3 seconds before reaching a top speed of 330 km/h.
