**January 1st, 2025, Toyota Vietnam Announces December 2024 Sales Results:**
Toyota Vietnam announced its December 2024 sales performance, reporting a total of 8,858 units sold (including Lexus) for the month.
With this result, Toyota has achieved three consecutive months of sales exceeding 8,000 units, bringing the cumulative sales for 2024 to over 68,000 units. The brand is now closer to reaching the milestone of 1 million units sold in 2025, which will mark its 30th anniversary in Vietnam.
Breaking down the sales figures, Toyota sold 8,642 units nationwide, comprising 2,790 domestically assembled vehicles and 5,852 completely built-up imported units. Notably, sales of Hybrid vehicles reached 861 units, contributing to a cumulative total of 5,350 Hybrid vehicles sold in 2024. This reflects a growing preference among customers for fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly options.
Lexus, the luxury brand under the Toyota umbrella, delivered an impressive performance in December 2024, serving 216 new customers. Since its introduction in Vietnam, Lexus has accumulated sales of 13,593 units.
Toyota’s December sales showed a positive increase compared to the previous month, attributed to attractive promotions offered on popular models such as the Vios, Yaris Cross, Veloz Cross, Avanza Premio, and Corolla Cross. Additionally, the year-end season typically sees a rise in vehicle purchases, further boosting sales.
In the sedan segment, the Vios stood out with 1,504 units sold, consistently ranking among the best-selling cars in the market. For SUVs, the Yaris Cross led the way with 1,578 units, followed by the Corolla Cross with 1,015 units, indicating a strong demand for compact high-riders. The Innova Cross, a versatile MPV, impressed with 1,203 units sold, while the Veloz Cross remained competitive with 916 units, showcasing their enduring appeal in the family vehicle segment.
