Speculations are rife that Hyundai’s flagship sedan, the Grandeur, will receive a mid-life facelift in 2025, with a particular focus on electrification.
The updated Grandeur is rumored to be the first Hyundai model to feature the latest PHEV (plug-in hybrid) system, marking a significant step forward in the brand’s electrification efforts.
Hyundai is currently fine-tuning this advanced powertrain, which is expected to be introduced in the second half of 2025.
This new powertrain is predicted to offer a significant leap in performance and fuel efficiency for Hyundai vehicles, showcasing their commitment to innovation.
The Hyundai Grandeur PHEV is anticipated to deliver an all-electric range of up to 100 km, making it possible to complete daily commutes without using a drop of gasoline. This impressive range is attributed to the high-energy-density battery and improved dual electric motors developed by Hyundai.
In addition to the cutting-edge hybrid powertrain, the Hyundai Grandeur facelift will continue to offer its existing engine options: a 2.5L gasoline engine (195 hp, 248 Nm of torque), a 3.5L gasoline engine (296 hp, 359 Nm of torque), and a hybrid powertrain (227 hp, 350 Nm of torque). A LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) variant will also be available, producing 237 hp and 314 Nm of torque.
As a mid-life facelift, the Hyundai Grandeur is expected to retain most of its design and convenience features, with subtle refinements to keep it fresh and competitive.
