The BYD Xia is a sleek and modern MPV with a powerful PHEV engine, offering an impressive all-electric range of up to 180 km.

According to Carnewschina, the BYD Xia has arrived at dealerships ahead of its official launch. This large MPV is priced between 280,000 and 320,000 Chinese yuan (approximately 970 million to 1.108 billion Vietnamese dong).

As seen in dealership photos, the production version of the BYD Xia retains the stylish design of the pre-production model unveiled at the 2024 Guangzhou Auto Show.

With its generous dimensions measuring 5,145 x 1,970 x 1,805 mm and a wheelbase of 3,045 mm, the BYD Xia is a sizable MPV. Compared to the Denza D9, it is 105 mm shorter, 10 mm wider, and 115 mm lower. Its elegant design is accentuated by a large grille, integrated headlights, and the distinctive “Dragon Whisker” chrome detail, characteristic of the Dynasty line.

The interior features a spacious 7-seat layout with a 2+2+3 configuration. The dashboard boasts three large screens: a digital instrument cluster, a central infotainment display, and a dedicated screen for the front passenger. The center console houses a row of physical buttons, a wireless phone charging pad, and dual cup holders.

The second-row seats offer a weightless gravity mode for ultimate spinal comfort. They are also equipped with electric adjustments, heating, ventilation, and massage functions. Additionally, passengers in the second row enjoy a large ceiling-mounted screen and a built-in refrigerator.

Under the hood, the BYD Xia boasts a plug-in hybrid system, combining a 1.5L turbocharged gasoline engine producing 154 horsepower with a potent 268-horsepower electric motor. The vehicle is available with two battery options: a 20.4 kWh or a 36.6 kWh pack, enabling an all-electric range of up to 100 km or 180 km, respectively (based on CLTC standards).
