With a remarkable 3 million vehicles delivered to customers in 2024, Kia has broken its sales record for the second consecutive year.

Kia recently announced that it sold a total of 3,089,457 vehicles globally in 2024, a 0.1% increase from 2023. This includes 540,010 vehicles sold in Korea and 2,543,361 in international markets. With this achievement, the Korean automaker has consecutively broken its sales record for two years in a row.

The best-selling model for the brand in 2024 was the Sportage, with 587,717 units delivered. Following closely behind was the Seltos, with sales of 312,246, and the Sorento in third place with 280,705 units.

In the Korean market, the Kia Sorento set a new record as the best-selling domestic SUV. Specifically, this SUV sold 94,538 vehicles in 2024, surpassing its previous record of 85,811 units.

This figure is significantly higher than its direct competitor, the Hyundai Santa Fe (with 77,161 units sold in 2024). According to Korea’s Maeil Business magazine, despite their youthful and stylish designs, the Kia Sorento and Hyundai Santa Fe are the top choices for SUVs among male customers over 40 in the country.

Additionally, models such as the Kia EV3 electric SUV, the Kia K4 sedan, and the Kia Carnival MPV also performed well in various markets, contributing to Kia’s successful sales year. For 2025, Kia aims to deliver 3,216,200 vehicles to customers. To achieve this goal, the automaker plans to expand its electric vehicle lineup and introduce new versions of existing models within its product range.
