According to Carscoops, a front suspension issue affecting 2014-2016 Range Rover models has prompted the recall of approximately 16,759 luxury SUVs across the United States.
The recall is a result of faulty joints in the suspension system, which can cause cracks in the control arms during operation, increasing the risk of damage and potential accidents.
The affected Range Rovers were manufactured at the Solihull plant in the UK between 1/10/2014 and 31/3/2015, and 2/11/2015 and 16/3/2016, with faulty components originating from supplier SuperAlloy Industrial.
Since 2015, vehicle owners have lodged complaints about the suspension joint issue, but it wasn’t until late 2022, following nearly 15 complaints in the US, that Land Rover initiated recalls in the UK and Canada.

It took almost a decade, but Land Rover has finally initiated recalls to address the suspension issue in the US.
Owners are advised to bring their SUVs to service facilities or dealerships before January 2025 for inspection and replacement of the affected joints if necessary. A support bracket will also be installed on all recalled vehicles to prevent future joint failures.
In Vietnam, Land Rover recently announced the launch of the updated Range Rover Velar, with dealerships taking pre-orders and offering customization options since September. Pricing details for the Vietnamese market are yet to be disclosed.
