With the recent price reduction, MG5 and MG ZS are now even more appealing to potential customers.
MG Vietnam has recently adjusted the listed prices of the MG5 and MG ZS models on their official website. The MG ZS STD has been renamed to ZS ST+ and its price has been reduced from 538 million VND to 518 million VND. Meanwhile, the ZS LUX version has been renamed to ZS LUX+, with a price drop from 638 million VND to 588 million VND.
The prices of the sedan MG5 have also been reduced by 35-60 million VND, depending on the version. Specifically, the MG5 STD has been reduced by 35 million VND from 523 million VND to 488 million VND. The MG5 LUX has seen a price drop of 60 million VND, from 588 million VND to 528 million VND.
In addition, to attract more interested customers, many MG dealers have launched promotional programs with discounts of up to tens of millions of VND. For example, an MG dealer in Hanoi is offering a package that includes support for registration fees, free insurance, and genuine accessories worth up to 30 million VND.
Despite being in the Vietnamese market for a long time, MG5 and MG ZS have faced challenges in attracting customers. Their competitive pricing, lower than many rivals in the same segment, is a key advantage for both models. Specifically, the MG5 is positioned in the C-segment sedan category but its price is comparable to that of A-B segment vehicles. Similarly, the MG ZS is a B-size CUV but its price is on par with A-size vehicles. Both models are powered by a 1.5L gasoline engine that produces 110 horsepower and 150Nm of torque, paired with a CVT automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.
