The automotive joint venture between Geleximco Group and Chery Group celebrated the victory of the Vietnamese national football team at the 2024 ASEAN Cup and expressed their admiration for midfielder Nguyễn Xuân Sơn by presenting him with the Jaecoo J7 PHEV. In Vietnam, this C-segment SUV is priced at approximately 900 million VND.
The Jaecoo J7 PHEV boasts impressive dimensions with a length of 4,500 mm, a width of 1,863 mm, and a height of 1,680 mm, along with a wheelbase of 2,672 mm. This C-size SUV will compete directly with the likes of the Mazda CX-5, Hyundai Tucson, and KIA Sportage.
The manufacturer has placed a special emphasis on the off-road capabilities of the Jaecoo J7, with an official ground clearance of 200mm, a water-wading capacity of 600mm, an approach angle of 21 degrees, and a departure angle of 29 degrees. For those who prioritize practicality, the Jaecoo 7 offers a maximum towing capacity of 1,300 kg, a roof load of 75 kg, and a generous 412-liter luggage capacity.
In terms of design, the front of the vehicle showcases a robust and square-shaped profile, accentuated by a large grille with numerous vertical slats that evoke a resemblance to Land Rover models. The headlights are designed in a two-tier layout with a boxy shape, while the daytime running lights feature a sleek LED strip that spans across the grille.
Viewed from the side, the Jaecoo J7 sports a blacked-out C-pillar, creating a floating roof effect, along with hidden door handles for a youthful and modern aesthetic. The vehicle is fitted with 19-inch alloy wheels featuring a two-tone finish, with unique designs depending on the chosen variant.
The rear of the Jaecoo J7 features a prominent roof spoiler with high-mounted brake lights, complemented by a full-width LED strip that adds to the contemporary look of the vehicle. The LED taillights are designed in the shape of boomerangs, arranged neatly and symmetrically.
Stepping inside, the Jaecoo J7’s cabin offers a spacious 5-seat layout with an array of modern conveniences, including a sporty flat-bottom steering wheel, a large digital instrument cluster, a 14.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system integrated into the center dashboard, a digital clock, an electronic gear selector, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, push-button start, and even a tissue box dispenser.
Under the hood, the Jaecoo J7 PHEV is equipped with a 1.5L turbocharged gasoline engine paired with an electric motor. In overseas markets, this configuration delivers a combined output of 347 horsepower and a peak torque of 525 Nm.
According to the distributor, the C-segment SUV can cover a maximum distance of 106 km in pure electric mode and achieve a combined range of 1,200 km when both the fuel tank is full and the battery is charged.
