On January 12, 2025, VinFast officially launched its new line of electric scooters named Motio in the Vietnamese market. Targeting students, who are one of the most important customer segments in the electric scooter market, VinFast Motio offers an affordable price of just VND 17.9 million, including VAT.
The VinFast Motio has compact dimensions with a length of 1,742 mm, a width of 715 mm, and a height of 1,085 mm. With a seat height of 755 mm, it is designed to fit the stature of Vietnamese people. Weighing just 95.6 kg, the scooter is easy to maneuver in tight spaces.

The overall design of the VinFast Motio features smooth, rounded lines. The highlights of the scooter are its LED headlights and taillights, which blend classic and contemporary styles.

Despite its compact size, the Motio offers a spacious 22-liter storage compartment, accommodating a helmet and other personal belongings. It rides on 10-inch wheels and features a front telescopic hydraulic shock absorber, a dual rear shock absorber, and a front disc brake.

Catering to the preferences of Gen Z and Gen Alpha customers, the Motio is available in five trendy color options: pearl white, matte black, yellow, tech pink, and vibrant red.

Powering the Motio is an electric motor with a maximum output of 1,500W. Its top speed is limited to 49 km/h, making it suitable for students and exempt from license requirements.
The motor is fed by a sealed lead-acid battery, which is IP67-rated for water resistance. Charging the battery from 0-80% takes 8 hours, while a full charge is achieved in 10 hours. With a full charge and driving at a constant speed of 30 km/h, the Motio can cover a distance of up to 82 km, making it ideal for daily commutes.
The VinFast Motio will be available at VinFast electric scooter dealerships nationwide from January 2025. It comes with a 3-year warranty on the scooter and a 1-year warranty on the battery.
