Vietnam Railways announces the launch of two special trains named “Spring Journey,” operating between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City for the Lunar New Year holiday, especially catering to passengers wishing to experience the New Year’s Eve celebrations on board.

Specifically, train SE1 will depart from Hanoi Station at 22:10 on January 28, 2025, while train SE4 will leave Saigon Station at 19:30 on the same day.

Each train will feature a uniquely designed community car with artwork depicting traditional Lunar New Year cultural activities such as flower markets and calligraphy on its exterior.

The interior of these community cars will be adorned with symbolic peach blossoms and apricot blossoms, representing the New Year traditions of Northern and Southern Vietnam, respectively, and serving as a unique photo opportunity for passengers. These cars will also host various community cultural activities throughout the journey.

“Spring Journey” trains are a special initiative by Vietnam Railways for the Lunar New Year holiday.

Passengers on board the “Spring Journey” trains will be treated to a range of exciting and engaging experiences throughout their trip.

As the clock strikes midnight on New Year’s Eve, they will enjoy a countdown celebration, sweet treats, lucky draws with attractive prizes, traditional games, and delicious Lunar New Year delicacies.

Additionally, passengers will have the unique opportunity to join a “mobile” art workshop with artists from all three regions of Vietnam, where they can get their portraits sketched, try their hand at pottery, and engage in painting activities to ring in the New Year creatively.

At Hanoi Station, they can explore an exhibition by a group of 40 Vietnamese artists, while Saigon Station will host a workshop on the second day of the New Year celebrations.
