Jacopo Cerutti Wins the 2025 Africa Eco Race, with Marco Menichini Taking the Under-25 Victory

The 2025 Africa Eco Race concluded with a stellar performance by Jacopo Cerutti and the Aprilia Tuareg Racing team, who played a pivotal role in a thrilling and tense competition that lasted until the final stage. The team demonstrated their prowess by successfully defending their championship title for the second consecutive year, culminating in an impressive parade by the legendary Lac Rose lake.

A Challenging Journey Through Three Countries
In its 16th edition, the Africa Eco Race took riders across nearly 6,000 km of challenging terrain through Morocco, Mauritania, and Senegal. It was a grueling journey where riders faced treacherous landscapes and technical challenges, while the Aprilia Tuareg Rally bike proved its superior capabilities. The final stage concluded at the Lac Rose lake, marking a glorious end to the 2025 season.

Jacopo Cerutti’s Peak Performance
Jacopo Cerutti displayed the mettle of a true champion by overcoming a series of obstacles, from complex navigation and harsh terrain to technical issues like a rear mousse tire problem and a malfunctioning GPS. Nonetheless, he excelled in defending his title, securing five stage wins and two podium finishes. This achievement further solidifies the perfect synergy between him and the Tuareg Rally bike.

Jacopo Cerutti shared, “It’s been an incredible season. Despite the challenges, I persevered and overcame them. I am proud of my teammates and immensely grateful for their unwavering support.”

Memorable Performances by Fellow Riders
Francesco Montanari showcased his remarkable progress by claiming his first-ever stage win at the Africa Eco Race, along with three podium finishes. Meanwhile, Marco Menichini, a first-timer at the race with the Tuareg, secured victory in the Junior category for riders under 25, placed third in the multi-cylinder engine class, and finished an impressive sixth overall.

Aprilia Tuareg Rally: A Symbol of Endurance and Performance
With back-to-back championship titles and the team’s impressive overall performance, the Aprilia Tuareg Rally bike cements its status as a leading symbol in major rally raid races. The image of the bike finishing the sixth stage on just its rim, despite a mousse tire issue, has become emblematic of its indomitable spirit and resilience.

This bike, developed in collaboration with the Guareschi brothers from GCorse and partners such as Metzeler, SC Project, and Acerbis, demonstrated its agility, reliability, and superior performance even in the most demanding conditions.

With consecutive championship wins and the outstanding results achieved by all riders, the Aprilia Tuareg Rally bike solidifies its dominance in major rally races like the Africa Eco Race.
