2024 was a pivotal year for Xanh SM, as the electric taxi brand from billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong made significant strides and solidified its position in the market with a string of prestigious award wins both domestically and internationally.
Convincing victories at major award ceremonies
At the Asia Pacific Enterprise Awards (APEA) 2024 gala, Xanh SM took home top honors in two categories: “Fastest Growing Enterprise” and “Inspirational Brand”. This was Xanh SM’s first appearance at APEA, and they were the only passenger transport service provider nominated this year.
In October, Xanh SM beat out 14 other nominated businesses to claim the top spot in the “Outstanding Brand in the Transport Service Field” category at the Better Choice Awards (BCA) 2024, receiving 19,289 votes from consumers. In 2023, the brand also won the “Most Innovative Newly Launched Product” award at BCA.
Xanh SM’s impressive achievements didn’t stop at home; their journey from “newbie dinosaur” to an inspirational symbol also made waves internationally.
On November 7, Xanh SM was one of nine Vietnamese representatives to receive the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Award for their green transportation solutions and sustainable development at the ASOCIO DX Award 2024. ASOCIO is an annual prestigious award organized by the Asia-Oceania Computing Industry Organization.

Capping off a successful 2024, Xanh SM achieved a hat-trick of awards: “Product/Service for the Environment” at the Human Act Prize 2024, “Favorite Ride-hailing Service” and “Favorite Delivery App” at Tinh Tế Bình Chọn 2024, and “Top 10 Impressive Products – Services of Vietnam 2024” at the Tin Dùng Việt Nam 2024 program organized by VnEconomy magazine.
And as we stepped into 2025, Xanh SM left its mark once again, outperforming four other transport service providers to win the title of “Outstanding Ride-hailing App” at Tech Awards 2024 – an annual voting program organized by VnExpress since 2012.
A symbol of pioneering, companionship, and inspiration
Xanh SM officially launched on April 14, 2023, at a time when the ride-hailing market in Vietnam was extremely competitive. However, just a year and a half later, billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong’s 100% electric taxi company had made remarkable progress and dominated the market, operating in 61 provinces and cities with 100,000 vehicles, including electric cars and motorcycles.
In nearly two years since its launch, Xanh SM has served 168 million customers, covering over 820 million kilometers in green mobility, and in 2024 alone, helped reduce nearly 150,000 tons of CO2 emissions.
According to users, Xanh SM’s electric fleet offers a “3 No’s” experience – no emissions, no engine noise, and no fuel smell – along with impressive entertainment technologies. Additionally, their 5-star standard service has won over customers.

“Xanh SM drivers are always professional, friendly, and enthusiastic. Compared to traditional taxis or other ride-hailing platforms, Xanh SM’s service quality is truly in a league of its own,” shared Ms. Tran Thanh An, a frequent Xanh SM user.
Recently, Xanh SM announced its “5 Green Goods” service commitment: Green for Good Experience, Green for Good Drivers, Green for Good Vehicles, Green for Good Prices, and Green for Good Environment.
“The ‘5 Green Goods’ commitment is not just a promise of service quality but also demonstrates Xanh SM’s steadfastness in continuously developing sustainable values. This is part of Xanh SM’s journey to ensure that every ride is not just a means of transportation but also a companion on our customers’ journey to connect with Vietnamese culture and contribute to environmental protection,” shared Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Global GSM General Director.
Notably, as Xanh SM continues to expand its market share, it also leads and inspires the green transition for 73 businesses, including taxi companies and transport enterprises, through its electric taxi franchise model in many localities.
