Efforts to contribute to the Vietnamese automotive and supporting industries

Continuing to deliver “Ever-better Cars”

With a diverse range of products across all segments, Toyota has always been trusted and well-received by customers. In 2024, the Vios and Yaris Cross models were among the top 10 best-selling vehicles in the market, with sales of 14,210 units and 11,174 units, respectively. Additionally, several other Toyota models were also among the top-selling vehicles in their respective segments.

To meet customer needs and continuously improve its products, Toyota launched the 2024 upgraded versions of the Corolla Cross and Hilux, featuring enhancements in exterior design, entertainment, and convenience. Moreover, in October 2024, Toyota introduced two completely new models, the Land Cruiser Prado – Solid and Prestigious, and the Camry – Pioneer and Leader, at the Vietnam Motor Show 2024.

With a multi-dimensional approach, Toyota Vietnam introduced the Camry Hybrid, offering a modern green solution that is more accessible to customers. Notably, the Camry model was awarded “Car of the Year 2024” in the D-segment by VnExpress and “Car of the Year 2025” by Otofun, solidifying its leadership position in the premium sedan segment. This not only demonstrates the Camry’s superior quality but also underscores Toyota’s commitment to innovation and delivering products that exceed customer expectations.

Actively accompanying supporting industries, contributing to the development of the automotive industry

For the fifth consecutive year, Toyota continued its collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, supporting automotive supporting industries. The goal is to enhance the capabilities and strengthen the linkage between domestic supporting enterprises and automotive assemblers, thereby increasing localization.

In December 2024, Toyota Vietnam and the People’s Committee of Vinh Phuc province signed a Memorandum of Understanding to support local automotive industry development.

Currently, Toyota has 60 suppliers, including 13 Vietnamese companies, with nearly 1,000 localized products.

Striving for a “better society”

Developing the Multi-Pathway Project

With its multi-dimensional approach, Toyota continues to develop Hybrid technology, affirming that Hybrid is the most suitable choice for Vietnam’s current infrastructure. Moving forward, Toyota will not only expand its product range but also provide additional Hybrid options, making these vehicles more accessible to customers. In 2024, the Toyota Hybrid lineup included six models with seven Hybrid versions, with sales reaching 5,350 units, doubling the previous year’s figure.

Sharing the same goal and vision, Vinasun signed a cooperation agreement to become the first taxi company to use Hybrid vehicles in the passenger transport business in Vietnam. They plan to invest in 2,000 Toyota Hybrid vehicles in 2024 and 2025. This long-term strategy between the two parties aims to provide the best experience for customers and positively contribute to a cleaner and safer transportation system.

Toyota’s environmental protection efforts go beyond expanding the Hybrid product range to enable more customers to reduce emissions. The company seriously implements environmentally friendly practices throughout its system, from suppliers, factories, transport companies to dealerships. Simple actions such as sorting household waste, utilizing sunlight, sorting food waste, and turning off and unplugging electrical appliances when not in use have become a habit for Toyota’s staff.

Toyota successfully organized a series of events to promote its multi-dimensional approach and Hybrid product range, including: a TSS active safety feature experience event at Nguyen Hue Walking Street in Ho Chi Minh City; the “Green Point, Ten Thousand Journeys” event as part of the Hanoi Má»›i Peace Run 2024; the Vietnam Auto Expo 2024; a series of workshops and exhibitions for students during the Vietnam Green Day and the Vinh Phuc Innovation and Startup Day 2024; and volunteer activities and upstream forest planting with the Green Car Community. Through these diverse initiatives, Toyota aims to inspire and engage a wide range of people to build a more sustainable future.

Maintaining annual social contribution activities in various fields

In addition to its business operations, Toyota continues its annual social contribution activities in four areas: Traffic Safety, Environmental Protection, Social and Cultural Activities, and Education and Human Resources Development. The company aims to bring a better life to the community and contribute to the sustainable development of the country.

In 2024, Toyota initiated and implemented various activities, such as “Toyota Together for Traffic Safety Education,” the Traffic Safety Initiative Contest, the “Drawing My Dream Car” contest, and the U9 Toyota Cup National Football Tournament. To date, Toyota has contributed over $31 million to social activities.

The year 2025 marks a significant milestone as Toyota celebrates its 30th anniversary and becomes the first brand to reach one million units in sales. In the coming year, Toyota Vietnam and its nationwide dealer network will continue to create better vehicles and services, providing comprehensive mobility solutions that ensure customer satisfaction and peace of mind.

At the same time, Toyota will continue to strengthen its community contributions, promote the country’s sustainable development, and enhance the prosperity of Vietnamese people.
