In a recent post on Peugeot Vietnam’s Facebook page, the company teased the upcoming launch of the new Peugeot 2008 in the local market. The reveal hints at an imminent arrival, heightening the anticipation among Vietnamese automotive enthusiasts.

The shared images showcase a striking evolution of the Peugeot 2008, featuring a distinctive set of three ‘lion’s claw’ daytime running lights, in contrast to the single claw of its predecessor. The new model boasts a larger grille adorned with the brand’s updated logo. At the rear, the LED taillights have also been redesigned for a more modern appearance.

Details regarding the specifications of the Peugeot 2008 for the Vietnamese market remain undisclosed. However, in other regions, the vehicle impresses with a host of features, including a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a unique two-spoke steering wheel. Peugeot has also enhanced the MyPeugeot app with additional functionalities. Furthermore, the GT variant now offers the option of a premium Alcantara fabric interior.

Under the hood, the Peugeot 2008 continues to be powered by a turbocharged 1.2L gasoline engine, delivering 133 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque. This potent powertrain is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. In Europe, the range is further enhanced by the introduction of an electric variant named the e-2008.
