For many of us, the anxiety of misjudging a parking maneuver and scraping our wheels on the curb is all too familiar. These mishaps often result in scratches, and fortunately, most scratches are repairable depending on the severity of the impact. However, if you’re unlucky enough to cause significant damage to your wheels, the cost of replacement won’t be cheap, especially if you’re driving a Ferrari Purosangue.

And it gets even more bitter if your Purosangue is fitted with the bi-tone lightweight forged alloy wheels featured in Ferrari’s promotional images of the car. Prepare to shell out an average of over $14,000 for a set of replacement wheels.

According to Scuderiaparts, their catalog lists a set of 22-inch front and 23-inch rear wheels for the Ferrari Purosangue at a cost of $57,200, including tax and delivery fees to Massachusetts. On top of that, Millermotorcars lists an even higher price for a set of wheels at £13,327 (approximately $16,300) including VAT in the UK, totaling £53,308 (around $65,000) if all four wheels need replacing.

But it’s likely not the total, as you’ll also need a set of tires if you’re replacing the wheels due to an accident or theft. This brings the final bill—even based on the lower price from Scuderia Parts—well above the MSRP of a brand new Honda Civic Type R, which stands at $45,895, and that’s with forged wheels.

Assuming you need all the accessories that come with your new Ferrari wheels, such as wheel axle logos, TPMS sensors, and wheel weights, the costs add up quickly. A plain wheel axle logo will set you back $22, while the carbon fiber versions cost a whopping $213 each. Each TPMS sensor is priced at $183, and a set of wheel weights will cost you $12. Altogether, you’ll be paying an additional $868 just for these accessories, plus shipping and taxes.

Next up are the tires. If you’re looking to equip your Purosangue with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, you’ll be facing a substantial cost. With taxes, a complete set of tires will set you back around $3,100 from TireRack. Add in the cost of installation, and you’re looking at approximately $3,650. All in all, when you factor in the wheels, tires, and accessories, the total bill will likely fall in the range of $61,700.
