On January 20, the new Yamaha Janus 125 was officially introduced in the Vietnamese market with three variants: Standard, Premium, and Limited, priced from 29 million to 34 million VND.
The Janus 125 2025 features a design upgrade with a focus on improved practicality. The rear end is sleeker, with turn signals now integrated near the taillights instead of being mounted separately on the mudguard, creating a more streamlined look that appeals to a wider range of customers. The taillights retain their distinctive U-shape but with a fresh design, adding a stylish accent.
The seat has been redesigned to be flatter, with a new length of 760mm, a significant increase of 77mm from the previous version. This enhancement provides ample and comfortable space for both the rider and the passenger. The legroom has also been expanded by 20mm, ensuring a more relaxed riding experience during long journeys.
The seat also incorporates an Anti-Heat Seat feature (exclusive to the Limited edition), offering a heat reflection rate of up to 45%. This innovation ensures a cool and comfortable seat even when the vehicle is left parked under the scorching sun for extended periods, a definite advantage during Vietnam’s hot summer months.
The scooter is equipped with a combination of an LCD display and analog gauges, providing a comprehensive view of vehicle information. The distinctive always-on headlights now feature a chrome trim for added style. Additionally, the Smart Key system offers various functions, including vehicle location tracking, remote locking/unlocking, and seat opening.
The Yamaha Janus 125 continues to be powered by the efficient Blue Core 125cc air-cooled engine, delivering 9.4 horsepower and 9.6 Nm of torque. Coupled with an electronic fuel injection system, it achieves impressive fuel economy, consuming just 1.87 liters per 100km as per the manufacturer’s claims.
