MG recently unveiled its largest flagship SUV, the Majestor, at the Auto Expo/Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. The Majestor is MG’s biggest bet yet as it targets the highly competitive D-segment SUV market.

The MG Majestor will go up against established rivals such as the Toyota Fortuner and Ford Everest.

The MG Majestor is based on the Maxus D90 and LDV D90 platforms from the SAIC group. Its design is also an evolution of the older MG Gloster.

Referring to the Maxus D90, the MG Majestor is expected to have dimensions of 5,005 x 1,932 x 1,875 mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 2,950 mm.

The MG Majestor boasts a bold and boxy design. The front features a massive grille and vertically positioned headlights. The rear is highlighted by a full-width LED taillight, dual exhaust pipes, and a rear diffuser with a faux skid plate.

MG has not revealed the interior of the Majestor yet, but since it shares the same platform as the Maxus D90, it is likely to offer similar features. These include a 12.3-inch central infotainment screen, a digital instrument cluster, power-adjustable front seats with heating, ventilation, and massage functions, tri-zone climate control, a 12-speaker sound system, a sunroof, and Level 2 ADAS.

It is unclear what engine will power the Majestor in the Indian market. However, it is speculated that it will be the same 2.0-liter twin-turbo diesel engine found in the older MG Gloster, producing 215 horsepower and 480 Nm of torque. The engine will likely be paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

More details about the MG Majestor are expected to be announced in the first quarter of 2025, with a possible price tag starting at 4 million INR, which is approximately 1.17 billion VND.
