Rolls-Royce Unveils the Ghost Extended Series II “The Encounter”
True to its name, “The Encounter” commemorates the 120th anniversary of the first meeting between the brand’s founders, Charles Stewart Rolls and Frederick Henry Royce, on May 4, 1904.
This ultra-luxurious sedan features a Twilight Purple exterior. Details on the car evoke memories of that first encounter, from the founders’ signatures etched on the C-pillars to the historic date painted on the coachline and their initials embroidered on the headrest inside.
The Rolls-Royce Ghost Extended Series II “The Encounter” retains the distinctive design of the British luxury marque but features redesigned taillights, consisting of two vertical LED strips harmoniously integrated with the surrounding surfaces. This design is inspired by the Spectre, along with softly curved chrome details.
The Ghost Extended has a 170 mm longer wheelbase, creating a more spacious and airy cabin compared to the standard model.
The interior is trimmed in Seashell-colored leather, complemented by wood veneer with a classic matte finish. The digital instrument cluster is also personalized in Amethyst Purple.
The seats are upholstered in Duality Twill fabric, featuring the iconic Duality pattern. The rear “presidential” seats are equipped with high-end amenities, including an entertainment system with screens, a 1,400-watt Bespoke Audio system with 18 speakers, and a champagne cooler.
Powering the Rolls-Royce Ghost Extended Series II special edition is the same 6.75-liter V12 twin-turbo engine, delivering a maximum output of 571 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque.
This engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission from ZF and an all-wheel-drive system. The car also features rear-wheel steering, a Planar suspension system that scans the road surface, and more.
Rolls-Royce has not disclosed the price of this unique Ghost Extended Series II “The Encounter.” In the US, the standard Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II starts at $355,000 (approximately 9.011 billion VND).
