The Toyota Land Cruiser Prado was transformed into a stunning pickup truck convertible for the recent SEMA 2024 exhibition.
This unique vehicle is named the Land Cruiser ROX. Toyota has stated that if public feedback is positive, they will consider putting this concept into production.
ROX stands for Recreation Open eXperience, and it certainly lives up to its name. This off-road-style concept car is designed to bring drivers closer to nature.
The car has a distinctive look with the removal of the C and D pillars and the roof. A specially engineered frame ensures structural rigidity, providing a solid foundation for this concept.
Toyota has also modified the suspension, raising the vehicle’s ground clearance by 101 mm and widening the track by over 200 mm with forged aluminum control arms at the front and rear.
The Toyota Land Cruiser ROX Concept is equipped with off-road accessories, including striking red steel front and rear bumpers with tow hooks, an underguard, and a front bumper guard.
A 3-bar roof rack and seven auxiliary lights at the front enhance visibility in low-light conditions. The rear door features a new spare tire carrier, providing easy access to the trunk.
The wheel arches have been extended to accommodate the larger 18-inch off-road wheels and tires, giving the vehicle a bold stance.
The interior of the Land Cruiser ROX features 3D-printed door sills and high-durability materials suitable for a roofless vehicle. The door panels are equipped with safety kits and compartments for sunglasses and other essentials.
A panoramic sunroof and a soft-top convertible configuration offer a comfortable and enjoyable driving experience.
If the Land Cruiser ROX goes into mass production, it will be a formidable competitor to the Jeep Wrangler and Ford Bronco.
