Honda has officially confirmed the release of a mid-life cycle update for the CR-V in 2026.

Alongside this announcement, the automaker teased some information about the TrailSport version, hinting at enhanced off-road capabilities for the Honda CR-V.

The 2026 Honda CR-V TrailSport is expected to feature modified ground clearance and suspension systems to improve its off-road performance.

Additionally, this variant will likely have reinforced underbody protection and specialized all-terrain tires for enhanced traction and handling on challenging surfaces.

The new Honda CR-V TrailSport may also receive engine and transmission upgrades to boost its overall performance.

The remaining CR-V variants are likely to receive design updates and additional features to enhance the overall user experience.

The Honda CR-V is expected to continue offering two engine options: a turbocharged 1.5L gasoline engine producing 190 horsepower, and a hybrid powertrain combining a gasoline engine with an electric motor for a total output of 204 horsepower.

In the US market, the CR-V is also available with a hydrogen fuel cell powertrain.
