Mercedes-Benz Unveils Plans for its Next-Generation Van, Showcasing an Electric Future

In late 2024, Mercedes-Benz gave a glimpse of whatโ€™s to come with the concept reveal of the V-Class and Vito duo. This concept is slated to debut in spring 2025, paving the way for an exciting future.

Both the passenger and commercial versions of this van are developed on the new VAN.EA electric platform. This platform provides a clear distinction between luxury and commercial vans in the premium segment. Additionally, the versatile chassis can accommodate different structural requirements and support various sizes.

From the shared images, we can see that the Mercedes-Benz van will feature sleek new headlights, hidden door handles, a modern window frame design, and a redesigned rear door.

While Mercedes-Benz hasnโ€™t released detailed specifications yet, we know that the vans will offer front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive options. They will also boast 800V electric technology, 22 kW AC charging, and the latest MB.OS operating system.

Moreover, the premium Mercedes-Benz vans (from V-Class and above exclusive projects) will have a range of over 500 km per charge. They will also come standard with Level 2 autonomous driving technology and integrate Level 3 capabilities, enabling hands-free driving on highways.
