Just before noon on January 28, 2025, the last day of the Lunar New Year, a hypercar enthusiast’s Porsche 918 Spyder was spotted cruising through District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. Interestingly, after being missing for 2 years, this particular Porsche 918 Spyder has been seen out and about several times just within the past week.
The owner of this Porsche 918 Spyder also possesses a collection of other supercars and luxury vehicles, but it seems that on this special day, they chose to take out this exceptional car for a spin.
This Porsche 918 Spyder features a sleek gray paint job, with a two-piece carbon fiber targa top that can be easily removed and stored in the front trunk of the car.
The Porsche 918 Spyder, a limited-edition hybrid supercar, was produced in a limited run of just 918 units worldwide, each with its unique serial number. The price of this exclusive vehicle started at $845,000, but just a few months after its introduction, the value surged past the $1 million mark.
Even a decade after its release, the 918 Spyder remains Porsche’s most powerful car. It boasts a plug-in hybrid powertrain, combining a naturally aspirated 4.6-liter V8 engine with two electric motors to deliver a staggering 881 horsepower and 1,280 Nm of torque.
This hybrid supercar can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 345 km/h. The 6.8 kWh lithium-ion battery pack allows the Porsche 918 Spyder to travel up to 19 kilometers on electric power alone.
