The BMW iX 2025 receives performance, exterior, and interior upgrades compared to its predecessor.
BMW iX, first introduced in 2021, was one of the brand’s initial forays into electric vehicles. However, it fell short in terms of sales figures. To boost the model’s performance and align with their goal of having electric vehicles account for half of their global sales by 2030, BMW has recently unveiled an upgraded version of their iX SUV. The BMW iX 2025 boasts improvements in both its exterior design and interior features compared to the previous iteration.

The BMW iX xDrive45 2025, the standard version, is the most affordable option. It is equipped with two electric motors, delivering a combined output of 402 horsepower and an impressive acceleration time of 0-60 mph in just 4.9 seconds. This variant offers a maximum driving range of 312 miles on a single charge.

The BMW iX 2025 xDrive60 takes performance a notch higher with a maximum output of 516 horsepower, sprinting from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds. Meanwhile, the iX M70 variant produces a staggering 650 horsepower, achieving the same sprint in just 3.6 seconds.
The BMW iX xDrive60 also benefits from an increased driving range, now capable of covering 340 miles on a full charge—an improvement of 30 miles over its predecessor. The M70 variant sees a similar gain, now offering a range of 302 miles, an increase of 30 miles.

The BMW iX 2025 sports a refreshed design, highlighted by its cross-hatched grille, reminiscent of the X3. The sporty M70 variant takes inspiration from the M3 and M4, featuring a unique grille design and the Shadowline exterior package. Standard wheel size for the SUV is 20 inches, with larger 21-inch, 22-inch, and 23-inch options available as well.

Inside, the BMW iX M70 boasts the new M Multi-Function seats, an upgrade from the previous model, offering active cooling and wider backrests for enhanced comfort.

Additionally, BMW introduces the new Climate Comfort Package, ideal for customers in colder climates. This package includes heated seats for both rows, a heated steering wheel, and heated armrests. It also incorporates a four-zone automatic climate control system, allowing each passenger to customize their temperature settings.

In the US market, the BMW iX 2025 is priced between $75,100 and $111,500. Deliveries are expected to commence in the latter half of this year.
