On the second day of the Lunar New Year, businessman Pham Tran Nhat Minh, commonly known as Minh “Nha,” surprised everyone by sharing photos of himself and his wife posing in their garage. And from these photos, it’s quite evident that the McLaren Elva, worth nearly VND 200 billion, has joined the fleet alongside the Pagani Huayra.

These images have been long-awaited by car enthusiasts, but it took three years for Minh “Nha” to make it happen. When it finally arrived, his McLaren Elva caused quite a stir in the media and on social networks, with news about the car still making headlines a week later. However, no one knows the current whereabouts of the McLaren Elva.

The McLaren Elva cost Minh “Nha” a small fortune to bring to Vietnam, with the owner revealing that the endeavor set him back 8 million dollars, equivalent to VND 190 billion. This is nearly VND 50 billion more than the official price of the McLaren Elva, which Minh “Nha” disclosed three years ago as VND 143 billion, including VAT.

Initially, McLaren planned to produce 399 units of the Elva, but later reduced this number to 299 and then again to just 149.

Aside from its impressive design, which does away with a roof and windows, the McLaren Elva is powered by the same V8, twin-turbo, 4.0-liter engine found in other McLaren supercars: the 720S, 720S Spider, and the hypercar Senna owned by Hoang Kim Khanh.

This powerhouse delivers a maximum output of 804 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque to the McLaren Elva, all channeled to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Thanks to this setup, the McLaren Elva, dubbed the “four-no car,” can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under three seconds.
