Car enthusiasts in Vietnam were treated to a rare sight during the recent Spring Festival as numerous supercars took to the streets across various provinces. Among these vehicles was the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640-4 Roadster, a convertible supercar that had been missing in action for quite some time.

The Lamborghini Murcielago LP640-4 Roadster was spotted cruising through the province of Gia Lai during the festive season. Since its arrival in the country, the car has changed hands only twice, and its current owner has modified its exterior with a Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV body kit.

The body kit transformation has given the unique Lamborghini Murcielago LP640-4 Roadster a striking and distinctive appearance. It now sports a front bumper, side skirts, a rear bumper, and a rear wing similar to the Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV. The car also features a custom set of black, five-spoke alloy wheels.

The first owner of this rare Lamborghini Murcielago LP640-4 Roadster was a well-known multi-level marketing tycoon from Tuyen Quang. After three years of ownership, the supercar was put up for sale online by its original owner and was purchased by a car enthusiast from Gia Lai for 4.6 billion VND (approximately $197,000).

One of the main reasons why the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640-4 Roadster is less sought-after by car enthusiasts in Vietnam is its fabric roof. Removing and installing this type of roof can be a time-consuming and cumbersome task, taking almost a minute for a single person to detach and even longer to reinstall.

However, the Italian supercar manufacturer learned from this design and opted for a more user-friendly removable roof design for the Lamborghini Aventador. The roof of the Aventador is made of carbon fiber and can be removed and installed in less than 25 seconds.

The modified Lamborghini Murcielago LP640-4 Roadster, now resembling the Murcielago LP670-4 SV, is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine that produces a maximum output of 640 horsepower and 660 Nm of peak torque.

Coupled with a 6-speed E-Gear automatic transmission, this one-of-a-kind Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 convertible can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 336 km/h.
