Overloading the permitted weight results in a fine of 102 million VND and vehicle impoundment for the driver and owner of a coach carrying 10 extra passengers.

According to the Highway Patrol Team No.3 (Team 3, CSGT, Ministry of Public Security), they detected and handled a coach carrying more passengers than allowed on the Phap Van – Cau Gie – Cao Bo – Mai Son – National Highway 45 route.

Specifically, at 6 PM on February 2nd (the 5th day of the Lunar New Year), CSGT stopped and inspected a coach with the license plate 36H – 085.XX traveling on the Phap Van Highway (Thanh Hoa – Hanoi direction). The vehicle was carrying 56 passengers, 10 more than the permitted capacity. The driver, Le Van S., could not present his driver’s license upon inspection.

The task force immediately issued a fine to driver Le Van S. for the following violations: carrying more passengers than allowed, not possessing a driver’s license; and to the vehicle owner for allowing an unqualified person to drive and for violating the vehicle’s capacity regulations.

The total fine for the driver and owner amounts to 102 million VND, and the vehicle will be impounded for 10 days.
