Dealerships have started accepting pre-orders for the 2025 Lexus RX, and this new model is expected to be launched in the Vietnamese market in the second quarter of this year. According to sales consultants, the Lexus brand will discontinue the RX 350 Luxury and RX 350 F Sport trims and introduce two new hybrid variants instead.
Thus, the 2025 Lexus RX in Vietnam will be offered in a total of four trim levels: RX 350 Premium, RX 350h Premium, RX 350h Luxury, and RX 500h F Sport Performance. This means that the 2025 Lexus RX will have three hybrid variants and only one gasoline-powered option.
The new Lexus RX 350h Luxury and Premium are powered by a hybrid powertrain that combines a 2.5L gasoline engine with an electric motor, along with an AWD system called E-Four and self-charging NiMH batteries. It is unclear what the fuel consumption of the vehicle will be. Based on figures from the Middle Eastern market, the RX 350h is expected to have a fuel economy of just over 4.8 liters/100 km. In Singapore, the corresponding figure is 5.6 liters/100 km.
On the other hand, the 2025 Lexus RX 350 Premium continues to be equipped with a 2.4L inline-four gasoline engine, DOHC, Dual VVT-i, delivering 275 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 430 Nm of torque between 1,700 and 3,600 rpm. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, resulting in a combined fuel consumption of 9 liters/100 km.
Lastly, the 2025 Lexus RX 500h F Sport Performance retains its hybrid powertrain, combining a 2.4L four-cylinder engine with two electric motors. The gasoline engine produces 271 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 460 Nm of torque between 2,000 and 3,000 rpm. Meanwhile, the front electric motor generates 86 horsepower, and the rear motor produces 102 horsepower. In total, the RX 500h F Sport Performance delivers 366 horsepower and is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain achieves an impressive combined fuel economy of just 6.5 liters/100 km.
Aside from the differences in powertrains, the new Lexus RX 350h Luxury and Premium trims are expected to feature notable upgrades, including two large screens, with the central display measuring up to 14 inches, a head-up display, power-adjustable seats with heating and cooling functions, and a tri-zone automatic climate control system. The Luxury trim boasts a Mark Levinson 21-speaker audio system, a rearview mirror with an integrated screen, and a panoramic sunroof. Both trims are likely to be equipped with the comprehensive Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite of advanced safety features.
