Kia North America recently announced its sales figures for the first month of 2025, and the results are impressive.

The Kia K4 sedan emerged as the brand’s best-selling model in the US for January, with a total of 11,616 units sold, representing a 29% increase compared to the same period last year.

Following closely behind in second place is the former champion, the Sportage, with 11,357 units sold. The Telluride, another popular Kia model, took third place with 8,771 vehicles sold.

It’s not just the K4 that’s performing well; the Kia K5 sedan also saw a significant boost in sales, with 4,357 units sold in January, a 32.5% increase year-over-year. The Kia Carnival MPV likewise experienced a 21% sales growth, with 3,665 vehicles sold.

There are two main reasons for the Kia K4’s surprising sales success. Firstly, the K4 stands out for its modern and innovative design, consistently receiving high praise from customers within its segment. Its interior also boasts a range of convenient features and advanced safety technologies.

Secondly, the K4 has a very competitive pricing strategy, with a starting price of just $23,145 in the US (approximately 581.6 million VND). This makes it one of the most affordable options in its class.

Despite a few models like the Niro and Seltos experiencing sales declines, Kia still achieved an overall growth of 11.5%, selling a total of 57,005 vehicles.
