News about a 2017 Toyota 86 with just 680 miles on the odometer quickly caught the attention of JDM car enthusiasts. Interestingly, less than an hour after the listing was posted, the Toyota 86 had already found a buyer.

And the new owner of this Toyota 86 is none other than Mr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong, also known as Cuong “Dollar.”

Prior to this, the car enthusiast had purchased numerous JDM cars with manual transmissions. So, when he saw that a close friend was selling a manual Toyota 86, he immediately put down a deposit.

Inspired by the legendary Toyota 2000GT, this car sports a 2+2 fastback style with dimensions of 4,240 x 1,775 x 1,320 mm and a 2,570 mm wheelbase.

This mid-life upgrade for the Toyota 86 includes subtle design tweaks such as the front bumper, rear diffuser, and headlight and taillight designs. The car is fitted with 17-inch alloy wheels, featuring a 10-spoke design that contrasts Gun Metal Grey with bright chrome accents.

At the heart of the Toyota 86 is a FA20 I4 direct-injection engine with a displacement of 2.0 liters. It produces 204 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 212 Nm at 6,400-6,800 rpm. The power is sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission, enabling the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds.
