On the first working day of the Year of the Snake (February 3, 2025), THACO AUTO exported a large shipment to India, the Middle East, and Cambodia, with a total value of 3.65 million USD from Chu Lai International Port in Quang Nam.
These export containers not only mark a fortunate start to the new year but also demonstrate faith and expectations for the Group’s market expansion strategy in 2025.

Exporting THACO-branded and international vehicles
With the goal of deeper integration into the global value chain and enhanced competitiveness in the context of regional and global integration, THACO AUTO has continuously researched and manufactured products that meet the distinct requirements of each market. In 2024, the Group exported nearly 1,200 vehicles, achieving a revenue of 13 million USD.
Building on this success, on the very first working day of the Year of the Snake (2025), THACO AUTO exported 120 Kia Frontier trucks (Middle East), 400 painted body sets of Kia New Carnival (India), and 45 Peugeot Django 150cc scooters (Cambodia). These products are manufactured on modern assembly lines at THACO AUTO’s production centers in Chu Lai, meeting the stringent standards of Kia and Peugeot partners.
The manufacturing process of Kia Frontier K2500 trucks is closely monitored and adheres to the strict quality standards of international partners.
Among these, the lot of 120 Kia Frontier K2500 trucks is exported to the Middle East, a completely new market with high standards for quality. The product has been upgraded with a spacious cabin, equipped with numerous amenities and superior safety features such as an anti-lock braking system and airbag collision sensors, offering an optimal cargo transportation solution for customers. This shipment inaugurates the collaboration between THACO AUTO and Kia in expanding the market for trucks.

Also in this batch, 400 painted body sets of Kia New Carnival were exported to India, affirming THACO AUTO’s production capacity and reputation. Additionally, 45 Peugeot Django 150cc scooters, exuding distinctive European style and meeting Peugeot Motocycles’ global quality standards, were exported to the Cambodian market, elevating the brand’s position in the mid-range and premium scooter segment.

In 2025, THACO AUTO aims to supply nearly 4,200 vehicles of various types to markets such as the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Oman, the Middle East, Jordan, and Cambodia. The Group will focus on increasing exports of new THACO-branded and international brand bus and truck models, as well as passenger vehicles bearing international brands, in line with partner requirements. Simultaneously, THACO AUTO will also venture into other potential markets.
To achieve these goals, THACO AUTO is committed to investing extensively in R&D activities, studying new product trends, understanding customer needs, and considering the transportation infrastructure of each market. The Group continues to invest in technology automation and digital transformation at its factories to optimize production efficiency.
