Urban SUVs are gaining popularity in Vietnam. It’s not just a price competition; these urban SUV models also race in design and technology to easily attract customers.

Below are the sales figures for CUV/SUV models in Vietnam in 2024.

CUV/SUV Segment A

VinFast ended 2024 on a high note, delivering a total of over 87,000 vehicles to customers. Notably, among them was the VF 5, which recorded cumulative sales of over 32,000 units. This result made VF 5 the best-selling vehicle in the domestic market in 2024 and also dominated the CUV/SUV Segment A.

Closely following VF 5 was the VF 3, with sales of over 25,000 units after five months on the market.

Trailing behind were the Kia Sonet (7,313 units sold), Toyota Raize (4,984 units), and Hyundai Venue (4,465 units).

CUV/SUV Segment B

In 2024, the Mitsubishi Xforce was the best-selling model in the CUV/SUV Segment B, with a total of 14,407 units sold throughout the year. Closely following was the Toyota Yaris Cross with 11,174 units sold.

The Hyundai Creta (8,640 units sold), Kia Seltos (6,829 units), Honda HR-V (6,230 units), and Mazda CX-3 (2,745 units) occupied the subsequent positions.

CUV/SUV Segment C

The Mazda CX-5 maintained its lead in the SUV/CUV Segment C in 2024, with sales of 14,781 units. This impressive performance was partly due to its attractive pricing and strong brand recognition.

Following closely were the Ford Territory (8,125 units sold), Toyota Corolla Cross (7,644 units), Honda CR-V (6,688 units), Hyundai Tucson (6,641 units), and Kia Sportage (3,051 units).

CUV/SUV Segment D

In the CUV/SUV Segment D, the Ford Everest excelled with the highest position, selling 10,841 units in 2024. Right behind was the Hyundai Santa Fe with sales of 6,941 units.

The subsequent positions were occupied by the Toyota Fortuner (3,511 units), Mazda CX-8 (2,693 units), Kia Sorento (1,068 units), and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport (741 units).

Large SUV Segment

With sales of 1,587 units in 2024, the Hyundai Palisade became the best-selling model in the large SUV segment.

The Ford Explorer (689 units), Toyota Land Cruiser (668 units), and Toyota Land Prado (94 units) followed in subsequent positions.
