## Honda, Toyota, and Suzuki Offer Deals on SUVs to Kick Off the New Year
|
The new year starts with a shift in focus as automakers scale back their promotions due to increased customer demand for new cars ahead of the Lunar New Year. However, several Japanese brands continue to offer attractive incentives on SUVs, including discounts on registration fees and cash rebates, to boost sales.
### Honda’s SUV Lineup
Honda Vietnam’s website highlights current offers on its SUV lineup, including the CR-V, HR-V, and BR-V, with registration fee discounts for the first month of the year.
The CR-V, now available with a 50% registration fee discount and dealer-installed accessories, offers an appealing starting price of over 900 million VND. The recent launch of the upgraded CR-V and the e:HEV RS version, with its hybrid engine option, further enhances its appeal in the competitive C-size SUV segment.
The Honda CR-V is available as a fully imported model from Thailand for the HEV version and as a locally assembled version for the gasoline-powered variants.

The BR-V MPV is also part of Honda’s new year promotions, with a price range of 661-705 million VND. With the registration fee discount, customers can save up to 35 million VND and enjoy an additional year of body insurance.
The B-size SUV HR-V receives similar treatment, with a starting price of over 650 million VND after the registration fee discount. HR-V buyers also benefit from a year of body insurance and dealer accessories.
### Toyota Yaris Cross
Toyota’s Yaris Cross, a popular B-size SUV in Vietnam, kicks off the brand’s new year promotions. As an imported model from Indonesia, the Yaris Cross has been a consistent recipient of registration fee discounts, enhancing its competitiveness in a crowded segment.
A 50% reduction in registration fees translates to savings of 33-38 million VND, making the Yaris Cross more affordable with a price range of 617-727 million VND, depending on the registration location and version.
According to Toyota Vietnam’s recently released report, the Yaris was the best-selling model in December, with 1,578 units sold, bringing the total sales for 2024 to 11,174 units. It also secured the second position in the segment’s sales ranking, just behind the Mitsubishi Xforce.
While other Toyota models do not offer price reductions, they come with extended warranties of up to 2 years for gasoline-powered vehicles and 4 years for hybrid models. Combined with other incentives, Toyota buyers can enjoy a total warranty period ranging from 5 years (or 150,000 km) to 7 years (or 150,000 km).
### Suzuki Jimny and XL7 Hybrid
Suzuki joins the new year promotions with registration fee discounts on the Jimny and XL7 Hybrid.
Jimny buyers can choose between two gift packages: a registration fee discount or a travel voucher to Japan, both valued at 40 million VND and convertible to cash.
Introduced in Vietnam in April 2024 as an imported model from Japan, the Suzuki Jimny is a capable off-road SUV offered in two exterior color options, with prices ranging from 789-799 million VND.
Initially, high demand led to a premium on the SUV, but with subsequent shipments and deliveries to customers, the price has stabilized. However, as an imported model, inventory remains limited, and dealers encourage interested buyers to place their orders soon to avoid potential shortages ahead of the Lunar New Year.
The recently launched XL7 Hybrid MPV is now more affordable with a 50% registration fee discount, resulting in a price of 599.9 million VND. This translates to a savings of approximately 35 million VND for buyers in the first month of the year. Additionally, purchasers of the XL7 Hybrid in January will receive a rear spoiler and rain guards as complimentary gifts.
### Subaru Forester
Subaru is offering attractive cash rebates of up to 100 million VND on the Forester SUV. The 2.0 iS EyeSight version, originally priced at 1.19 billion VND, is now available for 979 million VND, while the iL EyeSight version is reduced from 1.09 billion VND to 879 million VND.
For the 2.0 iL trim, a 150 million VND discount brings the price down to 819 million VND. It’s worth noting that this model is in limited supply, as it will soon be replaced by imported units from Japan, which are expected to be priced significantly higher.
