Recently, Honda Vietnam announced on its official website that it is adjusting the retail prices of a range of motorcycle products in the Vietnamese market.

According to the announcement, the suggested retail prices of most of the common motorcycle models distributed by Honda in the country have increased by up to 2 million VND compared to the previous listing prices. The new suggested retail prices will be officially applied from April 1st.

Specifically, the Honda Vision Standard version now has a suggested retail price of 31.69 million VND, an increase of 400,000 VND from the previous price. The Sports version of Vietnam’s best-selling scooter model has also seen a 500,000 VND increase in its suggested retail price, now sitting at 37.09 million VND starting in April.

For the Honda Vario 160, prices for the different versions will increase to 51.99-56.49 million VND from the beginning of next month, up from the previous prices of 51.69-56.19 million VND. The Honda Air Blade 160 cc also has a new suggested retail price of 56.69-57.89 million VND.

The suggested retail prices for the various versions of the SH Mode have been adjusted to 58.19-64.99 million VND, while the SH 125i now has a listing price range of 75.29 million to 84.99 million VND.

The suggested retail price of the Honda SH 160i has been adjusted to 92.29-101.99 million VND. The SH 350i Special version is the scooter model with the highest increase, with a post-adjustment listing price of 152.49 million VND, a difference of 2 million VND from the previous price.

Honda Vietnam has also announced price adjustments for most of its motorcycle lines, with increases ranging from 500,000 to 1.5 million VND.

Among these, the Rebel 500 now has a suggested retail price of 181.3 million VND, an increase of 500,000 VND from the previous price. The suggested retail prices of the CBR1000 have also increased to 510.5 million VND for the Standard version and 525.5 million VND for the Black Edition.

According to Honda Vietnam, the reason for this price adjustment is the global economic fluctuations that have impacted the raw material market. This has led to increases in the prices of raw materials, which directly affect production costs, forcing the company to adjust the suggested retail prices of its motorcycle models in Vietnam.

Last year, Honda Vietnam’s motorcycle sales reached over 2.4 million units, an increase of 20.9% compared to 2021’s business results.

The Wave Alpha was the best-selling manual motorcycle model in Vietnam, with sales of 491,232 units. In the scooter segment, the Honda Vision was the company’s best-seller, with sales of 538,876 units, accounting for 22.4% of total motorcycle sales.

Last year, supply shortages caused the Honda Vision to be sold at a premium. In early July 2022, the on-the-road price of this scooter model reached 60 million VND.
