Late in the evening of February 19, entrepreneur Hoang Kim Khanh surprised everyone by posting images of his McLaren Senna and Koenigsegg Regera super cars at a rest stop on the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay highway.

It is known that the beauty industry tycoon took a short 200 km trip with his two super cars, the McLaren Senna and Koenigsegg Regera. This move could be a “get-to-know” and warm-up session for the upcoming super car road trip.

The Koenigsegg Regera, the only one of its kind in Vietnam, was brought into the country in January 2022. This super car was purchased by Hoang Kim Khanh from a showroom in Illinois, USA. The Swedish manufacturer only produced 80 units of the Regera, with a starting price of approximately $2.9 million at its launch.

The Regera is powered by a 5.0L V8 engine, combined with three additional electric motors, producing a total maximum output of over 1,500 horsepower. This allows the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, 150-250 km/h in 3.2 seconds, and reach a top speed of around 400 km/h in just 20 seconds.

In addition to its impressive performance, the Koenigsegg Regera also boasts a striking design, highlighted by its signature 180-degree opening doors. The Regera also stands out for its unique direct-drive transmission system, which eliminates the traditional gearbox, reducing energy loss by 50% compared to conventional transmissions.

The McLaren Senna MSO, which arrived in Vietnam in 2020, was a birthday gift from Hoang Kim Khanh to his wife. At that time, the McLaren Senna MSO was rumored to cost around 50 billion VND. Given the rarity of this super car, the price tag is understandable. Only 500 units of the Senna MSO were produced worldwide, and only 2 out of 500 were finished in Cerberus Pearl – one of which is owned by Mr. Khanh.

The McLaren Senna MSO owned by Hoang Kim Khanh also features a host of unique personalized details, completed by the McLaren Special Operations (MSO) division. These include black gloss nine-spoke wheels with yellow brake calipers and high-performance carbon-ceramic brake discs, as well as a prominent carbon fiber rear wing.

The McLaren Senna MSO is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8 engine that produces 789 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque, enabling the hypercar to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3 seconds and reach a top speed of 350 km/h.
