KGM Mobility has recently unveiled the Musso EV, marking a significant step forward in South Korea’s automotive industry as the country’s first electric pickup truck.
Musso EV borrows design cues from the Torres EVX SUV, featuring a longer body, an open cargo bed, and more rugged styling.
Notably, it has a unibody construction, combining the body and floor for improved rigidity and load-bearing capacity.
This pickup comes standard with 17-inch alloy wheels and a practical roof rack. Optional extras include a tonneau cover, roof rails, auxiliary lighting, and more.
While KGM has not yet revealed detailed cabin images of the KGM Musso EV, it is likely to share its interior with the Torres EVX SUV, given their common platform.
The vehicle will feature a digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch central touchscreen. Other notable equipment includes an Alpine sound system, adaptive cruise control, and a 3D surround-view camera system.
Like the Torres EVX, the KGM Musso EV is powered by an electric motor producing a maximum output of 207 horsepower. Customers can choose between front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.
The pickup is equipped with a BYD-produced LFP 80.6 kWh (lithium iron phosphate) battery pack. The front-wheel-drive model offers an impressive maximum range of up to 401 kilometers on a single charge.
Although no additional engine options have been disclosed, the brand confirmed that an internal combustion engine variant of the Musso will be launched soon.
In South Korea, this innovative pickup truck starts at 48 million won, which is approximately 857.6 million VND.
