There are rumors that Skoda is planning to launch an all-new, fully electric 3-row SUV. The vehicle was spotted undergoing testing in Europe and is expected to be released in 2026.
This new model is named the Skoda Space. It is the electric version of the Kodiaq.
Skoda Space is based on the Vision 7S concept, which was first introduced in 2022. However, the production version has been significantly refined for practicality.
The Skoda Space features a new design language called “Modern Solid”. The front of the car impresses with its “Tech-Deck Face” grille combined with sleek LED headlights and daytime running lights.
The front bumper has a rugged, angular design. Unlike the concept, the production model features traditional windows instead of the frameless design. The door handles are flush-mounted for a clean, minimalist look.
The rear of the car features sleek LED taillights and a rear spoiler with a center indentation to reduce drag.
In terms of interior, the Skoda Space is expected to offer a spacious and comfortable cabin with a 7-seat configuration. It will feature a 14.6-inch touchscreen, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, an augmented reality head-up display (AR-HUD), and a rectangular two-spoke steering wheel. The center console between the second-row seats also integrates a child seat, providing convenience for families with young children.
Skoda has not yet revealed the technical specifications of the Space, but it is likely to use the MEB+ platform from the Volkswagen Group, which is also used in the Volkswagen ID.7 and the ID.7 Tourer wagon.
Therefore, the Skoda Space is expected to have similar powertrain options as the ID.7, featuring a 282-horsepower electric motor and an 86 kWh battery pack that delivers a range of up to 709 kilometers (according to WLTP standards). It will be available with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
According to the plan, the Skoda Space will be launched at the end of 2025 and will go on sale in 2026.
