Building on the success of the 2024 season, both domestically and internationally, Honda Vietnam (HVN) continues to affirm its commitment to the sustainable development of motorsports with a well-invested and comprehensive strategy in 2025. This includes events to promote professional racing in Vietnam and improve the performance of the Honda Racing Vietnam (HRVt) team on the international stage, turning passion into pride and a strong source of inspiration for Vietnamese youth.

Domestic Racing Activities: Sponsoring the Vietnam Motorcycle Grand Prix 2025 (VMRC 2025)

The 2025 season marks the 8th year of HVN’s partnership with the Cycling – Motorcycle Sports Federation to sponsor the Vietnam Motorcycle Grand Prix (VMRC). VMRC not only brings thrilling competitions from potential racers but also serves as a platform to discover and nurture young talents in the field of sports racing. It acts as a springboard for aspiring racers to prove themselves in the professional arena, alongside HRVt, as they compete in international races.

The 2025 season will feature four racing systems:

The Young Talent system: This category includes the NSF100 model (for racers aged 13 to 17) and NSF 250 (for racers aged 15–22), aiming to identify and develop young talents to join HRVt in international competitions.

Semi-professional system: This category is for racers who have gained experience in the young talent system from previous seasons. Racers will compete using the Winner X model, upgraded by HVN technicians.

Professional system: This category is for professional racing clubs in Vietnam. Teams will use 150cc models from brands like Honda CBR150R, Yamaha R15 VVA, and Suzuki GSX 150R. By expanding the range of participating brands, the race catches up with technology trends in regional competitions, creating a strong attraction for fans and elevating the prestige of the tournament.

VMRC 2025 will be held over six stages at Dai Nam Racetrack in Binh Duong province, ensuring a large-scale, standardized, and safe racing environment.

Asian Motorcycle Grand Prix 2025 (ARRC 2025)

The Asian Motorcycle Grand Prix (ARRC) is one of the oldest and most prestigious tournaments in the Asian region, organized by FIM Asia, featuring top racers and teams from various countries. The competition includes four official racing categories for teams: UB150, AP250, SS600, and ASB1000. ARRC serves as a platform for talented racers and a springboard for many Asian racers to reach the international stage, participating in prestigious events like World Superbike (WSBK) and MotoGP. This tournament is also the main focus of HRVt, who invest seriously in all aspects. After four victories in the 2024 ARRC, HRVt sets higher goals for the 2025 season, aiming for the championship (in the AP250 category) with a talented team of three racers: Cao Viet Nam (#65), Nguyen Ton Anh Phu (#19), and Nguyen Huu Tri (#18).

The 2025 ARRC season is expected to kick off with six stages, held at major racetracks across Asia. Honda Racing Vietnam will compete in all six stages in the AP250 category. The overall schedule for the 2025 season is as follows:

Thai Talent Cup (TTC)

The Thai Talent Cup (TTC) is an annual race organized by Thai Honda for young racers. This season, the Honda Racing Vietnam team will continue racing with two talented racers: Nguyen Huu Tri (#10) and Ngo Nguyen Viet Tuan (#15). With their youth and regional racing experience, these outstanding team members are expected to achieve excellent results this year.

IATC stands for Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup, a motorcycle racing competition for promising young racers in Asia. Founded and managed by Dorna Sports (the organizer of MotoGP), the IATC aims to discover and train young talents to advance to higher levels, such as Moto3, Moto2, and MotoGP. In 2025, HRVt is proud to have racer Nguyen Huu Tri (#18) represent the team. He will use the NSF250 model, upgraded from the original version provided by the organizer, to ensure fairness and help young racers focus on developing their driving skills. HRVt hopes that young racer Nguyen Huu Tri will gain more experience and build his racing career under this big stage, eventually progressing to prestigious competitions like Redbull Rockie Cup, Moto3, Moto2, and MotoGP.

Training Activities

In the 2025 season, racer Ngo Nguyen Minh Tuan has been sent by the Honda Racing Vietnam team to train at the Honda Academy in Thailand. This professional training center is established by Honda Thailand to nurture young racers who aspire to pursue a career in motorcycle racing, with the mission of “Race to the Dream,” offering opportunities for young talents to participate in international competitions like MotoGP.

Additionally, to provide more opportunities for HRVt racers to gain experience and learn through practical competition, the team will also participate in the Malaysia Super Biker Championship in 2025.

To enhance the skills of the racers and technical staff, Honda Racing Vietnam will continue to send team members for training in Japan and Thailand and invite leading experts in the field to train with the team in Vietnam during the 2025 season. With this meticulous and comprehensive investment, the racers are expected to achieve even more outstanding successes in the future.

Sponsorship Activities

Over the years, HVN has implemented numerous sponsorship and promotional activities for international races: MotoGP, Moto2, Moto3, Repsol Honda Team (now Castrol Honda team), and Honda Asia Dream Racing – HADR. These efforts will continue strongly in 2025 for the races that these teams participate in.
