On February 26, VinFast officially announced the discontinuation of its battery leasing policy for electric cars and motorcycles, introducing attractive support packages for all vehicles with batteries from March 2025. Following this announcement, dealerships adjusted the selling prices for most VinFast electric vehicles distributed in Vietnam.
The price reduction applied to VinFast electric car models including VF 3, VF 5, VF 6, VF 7, VF 8, and VF 9. The “made in Vietnam” vehicles witnessed a price drop ranging from VND 23 million to VND 181 million.
VinFast electric vehicles with batteries witnessed a price reduction of up to VND 181 million from March 2025.
Specifically, the VinFast VF 3 with a battery is now priced at VND 299 million, a decrease of VND 23 million from the previous price. The VinFast VF 5 witnessed an 11-million-VND price drop to VND 529 million. Meanwhile, the VinFast VF 6 saw a reduction of VND 21 million, with its new price ranging from VND 689 million to VND 749 million, depending on the version.
For the VinFast VF 7 line, the price reduction from March 2025 ranges from VND 50 million to VND 55 million. Consequently, the prices of the VF 7 Eco, Plus steel roof, and Plus glass roof editions stand at VND 799 million, VND 949 million, and VND 969 million, respectively.
The VinFast VF 8 witnessed a higher price reduction, ranging from VND 100 million to VND 101 million. As a result, its selling price now starts from VND 1,019 billion to VND 1,199 billion. Lastly, the VinFast VF 9 witnessed the highest price reduction of up to VND 181 million, depending on the version. From March 2025, customers can purchase the VF 9 for only VND 1,499 billion for the Eco edition and VND 1,699 billion for the Plus edition.

VinFast Electric Vehicle Price List effective from March 1, 2025.
According to the company’s announcement, customers who currently lease batteries for their electric vehicles have the option to either continue with the existing policy or purchase the batteries from VinFast at preferential prices. Additionally, VinFast is offering an extension of the free charging policy for another six months, until December 31, 2027, for customers who own electric vehicles with batteries.
However, customers who purchase VinFast electric vehicles at the new prices will not be eligible for the additional six months of free charging. Instead, their free charging period will end in June 2027.
By the end of 2024, VinFast had delivered a total of 97,399 electric cars, 70,977 electric motorcycles, and electric bicycles globally. In the Vietnamese market, VinFast has emerged as the leading automotive brand, with a diverse range of electric vehicles across various segments, outperforming both domestic and foreign gasoline and electric car manufacturers. For 2025, VinFast aims to double its global vehicle deliveries compared to the previous year.
