The highly-anticipated Xiaomi SU7 Ultra has taken China by storm, with an impressive 10,000 orders placed just two hours after its official launch.
The high-performance electric vehicle from Xiaomi, SU7 Ultra, has set a remarkable record by achieving 10,000 orders within two hours of going on sale. According to the company, in the first ten minutes, the car received 6,900 orders, and the number quickly reached the 10,000 mark after two hours. This was Xiaomi’s sales target for 2025, indicating the immense appeal of the SU7 Ultra right from its debut.

Customers can make a deposit of 20,000 Chinese yuan (approximately 70 million VND) with a seven-day refund option or a non-refundable deposit of 40,000 yuan (around 140 million VND) to get early delivery. Those who place a deposit during this phase will receive their cars starting in April, while pre-sale orders will be delivered in March.
Xiaomi started taking deposits for the SU7 Ultra in the pre-sale phase back in October 2024, with a price tag of 814,900 yuan (approximately 111,800 USD). However, at its launch, the price was adjusted to 529,900 yuan (around 72,800 USD), which is 285,000 yuan (about 39,000 USD) less than the pre-sale price.

“Our mission is to make luxury cars affordable. Traditional gas-powered vehicles will surely be beaten by the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra,” said Lei Jun, CEO and founder of Xiaomi, at the launch of the electric supercar.
The SU7 Ultra is a race-focused version of the SU7, equipped with a host of aerodynamic enhancements, including a large rear wing, a new front splitter, side skirts, and special racing wheels. These aerodynamic elements enable the SU7 Ultra to generate 2,145 kg of downforce, ensuring stability even at high speeds.

Meanwhile, with a body made from carbon fiber, Xiaomi’s high-performance electric vehicle weighs just 1,900 kg, a full 400 kg lighter than the Tesla Model S Plaid.
The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is fitted with two V8s electric motors combined with a V6s motor, all developed and manufactured by Xiaomi themselves, delivering a staggering combined output of 1,548 horsepower. With this power, the SU7 Ultra can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.97 seconds.
