March 2025 has seen automakers consistently launch new promotional programs for their vehicles. A prime example of this is the five B-segment sedans, including the Toyota Vios, Honda City, Nissan Almera, Mitsubishi Attrage, and Hyundai Accent.
Toyota is offering a 50% discount on registration fees for the Vios, amounting to a maximum of 23 million VND for the E MT version, 25 million VND for the E CVT, and 27 million VND for the G CVT. On top of that, customers can enjoy interest rates as low as 5.99% per annum.
Similarly, Honda is providing a 50% discount on registration fees for the City in March 2025. Given that the registration fee is set at 10%, the promotion translates to a savings of 25 to 28 million VND. Additionally, the company is offering a one-year hull insurance package to customers who purchase this Honda model.
Hyundai is currently running a promotion for the Accent, offering a 50% discount on registration fees for the 2024 versions. The value of this incentive ranges from 22 to 28 million VND, depending on the trim level.
Nissan is also offering a similar deal for the Almera, providing customers with savings of between 25 and 28 million VND.
Lastly, Mitsubishi is promoting the Attrage with a full waiver of the registration fee, along with a fuel voucher worth 8 million VND and a rearview camera valued at 2.5 million VND for the MT version with a 2025 VIN. The total value of these incentives for this trim comes to an impressive 48.5 million VND.
For the CVT Premium and CVT versions with a 2024 VIN, Mitsubishi is offering a 50% discount on the registration fee, a 20-million-VND fuel voucher, and a 1.5-million-VND shark fin antenna. The total value of these promotions ranges from 45 to 46 million VND.

The B-segment sedan market remains one of the most popular automotive categories in Vietnam. In 2024, it was the third best-selling segment in the country, with a total of 46,358 units sold. Only the small MPV (46,667 units) and B-SUV (50,025 units) segments performed better.
In January 2025, due to the Tet holiday, sales across the segment dropped by 56%, reaching only 1,980 units. Leading the pack was the Honda City, with 568 units sold, marking a 31.4% increase. Following closely behind were the Hyundai Accent (530 units, down 71.5%) and Toyota Vios (490 units, down 67.4%). Mitsubishi Attrage sales were more modest, with only 61 units sold, a decrease of 64.5%. Nissan did not disclose sales figures for the Almera.
