Toyota has unveiled its new electric tricycle, the C+Walk S, designed specifically for elderly individuals with mobility issues.

This unique vehicle features one front wheel and two rear wheels, enhancing balance and maneuverability with a minimal turning radius of 0.95 m. Beneath the driver’s seat lies a spacious 33-liter storage compartment capable of accommodating up to 20 kg of cargo.

The C+Walk S forgoes a traditional throttle, instead employing a button-operated system similar to all-terrain vehicles. This allows the driver to adjust speeds between 1-6 km/h, with a reverse button located underneath.

Powered by a lightweight lithium-ion battery weighing approximately 2.5 kg, the C+Walk S offers an impressive maximum range of 12 km on a single charge, with a charging time of around 2.5 hours.

Despite its compact size, the C+Walk S is equipped with advanced safety technologies, including automatic speed reduction when turning or descending slopes and obstacle detection.

Toyota offers the C+Walk S in two variants: a standard model and one with an enhanced safety package. The former is priced at 498,000 yen ($3,779), while the latter retails for 505,000 yen ($3,832).
