Great Wall Motor (GWM) started taking reservations for the 2025 Tank 300 in China on March 1st, with a deposit of 3,000 Chinese yuan (approximately $412). The major upgrades from the model currently sold in Vietnam lie in its intelligence and powertrain setup. Consumers can choose between gasoline, diesel, and plug-in hybrid Hi4-T variants.

For reference, the current Tank 300 model is offered with a 2.0T gasoline engine, a 2.0T gasoline engine + 48V mild-hybrid system, a V6 3.0T engine + 48V mild-hybrid system, or a plug-in hybrid Hi4-T system, with a starting price of 199,800 Chinese yuan (approximately $27,400).

The 2025 Tank 300 continues the brand’s exterior design while adding a new desert yellow body color. The wide front bumper and round headlights, traditional door handles, roof rack, and rear spare tire remain.

Both the gasoline and diesel versions feature a winch at the front bumper, with optional electric side steps and a tow hook. Its dimensions are 4750 (4775)/1930/1903 (1927) mm, and it has a wheelbase of 2750 mm.

The gasoline variant is powered by a 2.0T E20CB engine with a maximum output of 167 kW (224 hp) and 387 Nm of torque, while the diesel variant features a 2.4T E24D engine with a maximum output of 137 kW (184 hp) and 480 Nm of torque.

The plug-in hybrid Hi4-T variant is also equipped with a 2.0T engine and offers an all-electric range of 105 km. Additionally, it features a 9-speed automatic transmission, the first of its kind developed in China, and supports 10 driving modes. Further technical specifications of the powertrain are yet to be officially revealed.

The cockpit is equipped with a D-shaped steering wheel, a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a new 14.6-inch floating central control screen powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, and a new dual 50W fast wireless mobile phone charging pad.
