The 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival will kick off tomorrow on March 9, 2025, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Buon Ma Thuot and Dak Lak Province (March 10, 1975 – March 10, 2025). This festival will feature a range of exciting activities to commemorate this significant event in Vietnam’s history.

Even before the official opening, a special treat for car enthusiasts is already on display – a collection of vintage cars owned by Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu. As predicted, Mr. Vu has showcased a range of classic Mercedes-Benz vehicles, including a surprising appearance of six 190SL models, each with its unique color – three with red tops, two with green, and one with a black top. These cars are parked in two locations at the Coffee World Museum.

Mr. Vu’s collection of Mercedes-Benz 190SL is impressive, with this being the first time he has displayed such a large number of these classic cars in one place. The 190SL is a rare find, and with this display, Mr. Vu has showcased almost all the 190SL models available in Vietnam.

The Mercedes-Benz 190 SL is an iconic sports car with a 1.9-liter inline-four SOHC naturally aspirated engine, based on the legendary 300 SL’s engine but with two cylinders removed. This engine produces a maximum output of 104 horsepower and 142 Nm of torque, paired with a 4-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive. This setup enables the car to reach a top speed of 171 km/h.

In addition to the 190SL models, Mr. Vu’s display also includes other rare Mercedes-Benz models such as the 230SL, 250SL, 280SL, 380SL, and 560SL, each with its unique design and features. The collection is a treat for vintage car enthusiasts, offering a rare opportunity to see such a diverse range of classic Mercedes-Benz models in one place. The display is completed with the presence of the Mercedes-Benz SL-Class and the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG, the latter featuring a distinctive camouflage pattern.

This car exhibition is just one of the many attractions of the Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival, which promises to offer a unique blend of culture, history, and entertainment to its visitors.
