Lynk & Co 08 is set to enter the European market in June with an expected price of over 1.4 billion VND.

Following the success of the 01 and 02 models, Lynk & Co is set to launch its 08 SUV in Europe. According to Motor1, the car is expected to go on sale in June, starting at €52,995 (over 1.4 billion VND) and will be available only in the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variant. This also marks the first time the model will be exported outside of China.

In Vietnam, dealers have also expressed interest in bringing the Lynk & Co 08 to the country in the near future. However, the launch timeline for this model is yet to be determined.

The Lynk & Co 08 made its debut in 2023 in China. It is positioned as a mid-size SUV with dimensions of 4,820 x 1,915 x 1,685 mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 2,848 mm.

The Lynk & Co 08 boasts a futuristic design, most notably at the front of the vehicle. It features a two-tier headlight cluster with a unique Y-shaped LED daytime running light design. Additionally, it has a distinctive LED strip that runs across the grille and connects the two headlights. This LED strip consists of 32 matrix LEDs, creating eye-catching visual effects.

At the rear, the Lynk & Co 08 is equipped with elongated taillights that stretch towards the sides, resembling the LED strip integrated into the front grille. Below are two rear brake light clusters positioned on either side of the faux air vents, along with a sporty, raised rear bumper. The 21-inch aerodynamic wheels further enhance the overall appeal of this mid-size SUV.

The Lynk & Co 08 offers a premium and modern interior. In front of the driver is a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster that displays vital driving information. The center console features a 15.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Flyme Auto Meizu, providing a rich ecosystem of applications. The car is also equipped with a 23-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, and wireless phone charging.

The Lynk & Co 08 also incorporates an advanced semi-autonomous driving system, utilizing data from 5 millimeter-wave radars, 10 cameras, and a host of surrounding sensors.

Powering the Lynk & Co 08 is a plug-in hybrid powertrain, consisting of a 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine and 3 electric motors, generating approximately 592 horsepower and 905 Nm of torque. This setup enables the SUV to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds.

The plug-in hybrid system is coupled with a 39.6 kWh ternary lithium battery, allowing the car to travel up to 245 km on pure electric power, as per the CLTC test cycle in China. When combined with the gasoline engine, the total range extends to 1,100 km. With these impressive figures, the Lynk & Co 08 will set a new record for the PHEV with the longest range sold in Europe.
