According to Carscoops, Subaru has issued a recall for over 20,000 2025 Forester Crossovers in the US due to wheel-related issues.

Specifically, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in the US has identified that the 18-inch wheels on 20,366 2025 Foresters, manufactured by Kosei Aluminium, were not assembled correctly. This could potentially affect the stability of the vehicle and increase the risk of accidents.

Subaru first discovered the issue with the 2025 Forester back in October 2024 when they found that the contact surface of the bolts on the rims did not meet standards. Fortunately, the Japanese automaker has not yet identified any accidents related to this issue.

In the US, the Subaru Forester is a popular SUV and a consistent top safety award winner. Just last December 2024, the Forester bagged the Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

In Vietnam, the Subaru Forester is currently in its 2024 iteration and is sold as an imported model from Thailand. However, since the beginning of this year, the C-segment SUV has been imported from Japan due to the closure of the Subaru plant in Thailand.

The Subaru Forester is available in three versions, with prices ranging from 969 million to 1,199 billion VND.
