The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has recently released its list of vehicles receiving the Top Safety Pick and Top Safety Pick+ awards for this year.
Specifically, out of the 48 honored vehicles, eight Mazda models received the top award, the Top Safety Pick+.
The following Mazda vehicles earned the Top Safety Pick+ award: Mazda3 (hatchback and sedan versions), CX-30, CX-50, CX-70 (standard and PHEV), and CX-90 (standard and PHEV).
Each vehicle underwent thorough evaluation by the IIHS, from exterior design to powertrain, showcasing Mazda’s consistent safety standards across its product line.
However, one notable absence from this year’s list is the Mazda CX-5, the brand’s best-selling model in various markets, including Vietnam. While the CX-5 met the crashworthiness criteria, it has not yet been assessed for pedestrian crash prevention, hence the lack of a comprehensive safety rating.
