Rebel Motor, a prominent private importer of motorcycles, has recently introduced the Honda CGX 150 to the Vietnamese market.
The company revealed that the CGX 150 will be available in two versions, with respective price tags of 70 million VND and 75 million VND.
Manufactured by the Wuyang-Honda joint venture in China and launched in August 2024, the CGX150 boasts an official price range of 10,080-11,580 Chinese yuan, equivalent to 35.5-40.8 million VND. When compared to the original Chinese market, the prices in Vietnam are doubled due to factors such as dealer profits, transportation costs, and import taxes.
The CGX 150 embodies the classic bike style, drawing inspiration from the motorcycles of the 70s and 80s. Its compact dimensions of 1,960 x 780 x 1,014 mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 1,308 mm make it highly maneuverable. The seat height stands at 740mm. The motorcycle features a full LED lighting system, encompassing headlights, taillights, and turn signals, enhancing both illumination and modern aesthetics. The instrument cluster combines a round analog speedometer with a digital display for a retro-modern look.
The front and rear wheel specifications are 90/90-17 and 110/80-17, respectively, paired with tubeless tires. Additionally, the front wheel is equipped with ABS for improved braking performance.
Powering the CGX 150 is a 149cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that delivers 11.8 horsepower and 12.5 Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed transmission.
With a price exceeding 70 million VND, the Honda CGX 150 competes against the Yamaha XS155R (priced at 77 million VND) and the Kawasaki W175 (78.8 million VND).
