In February 2025, the top-selling MPV in Vietnam remained the familiar Mitsubishi Xpander. The Japanese model sold 1,053 units, a growth of 30.3% compared to the previous month.

In March 2025, Mitsubishi Xpander continues to offer attractive promotions. Customers can enjoy a 50% discount on registration fees and a fuel voucher worth up to 20 million VND. The MT version comes with a free rearview camera worth 2.5 million VND, while the AT Premium version includes a 360-degree panoramic camera worth 20 million VND.

For the Mitsubishi Xpander Cross, customers receive a 50% discount on registration fees, a 21-million-VND fuel voucher, and a 360-degree panoramic camera. The total value of these promotions exceeds 70 million VND.

The Mitsubishi Xpander stands out with its attractive design, spacious 7-seat interior, adequate features, and affordable price, ranging from 560 to 698 million VND.

Under the hood, the Mitsubishi Xpander is equipped with a 1.5L 4-cylinder gasoline engine that produces 105 horsepower and 141 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a front-wheel-drive system and a 4-speed automatic or 5-speed manual transmission.

Kia Carnival: 451 units

Similar to the Mitsubishi Xpander, the Kia Carnival also experienced sales growth in February 2025. With 451 units sold, it witnessed a 40.4% increase compared to the previous month, securing the second position in the MPV segment.

Despite its high price, ranging from 1.299 to 1.849 billion VND, the Kia Carnival outperforms many smaller and cheaper MPVs in sales. This can be attributed to its appealing design, spacious 7-seat interior, and impressive features.

Notably, the Kia Carnival is one of the few MPVs in the segment to offer a hybrid powertrain. It combines a 1.6L 4-cylinder turbocharged SmartStream engine, an electric motor, a lithium-ion polymer battery with a capacity of 1.49 kWh, and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The total output is 242 horsepower, while the average fuel consumption is an impressive 4.95 liters per 100 kilometers.

Additionally, the Kia Carnival is also available with a 2.2L 4-cylinder DOHC diesel engine that produces 199 horsepower and 441 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.

Ranking third in the MPV segment for February 2025 is the Toyota Innova Cross, with 386 units sold, representing a 19.5% decrease compared to the previous month.

The Toyota Innova Cross is the latest generation of the well-known Innova model in Vietnam. Compared to its predecessor, the Innova Cross boasts significant improvements in design and features, with prices ranging from 810 to 999 million VND.

Under the hood, the Toyota Innova Cross offers two engine options. The first is a 2.0L 4-cylinder gasoline engine that delivers 172 horsepower and 205 Nm of torque, paired with a Direct Shift CVT transmission. The second option is a hybrid powertrain that combines a 150-horsepower gasoline engine with a 111-horsepower electric motor and a CVT transmission.

Closely following the Innova Cross is another Toyota model, the Veloz Cross, with 364 units sold, representing a significant growth of 67.7%.

In March 2025, Toyota is offering attractive promotions for the Veloz Cross. Customers can enjoy a 50% discount on registration fees and preferential interest rates starting from 5.99% per year. The total savings on registration fees can be up to 32 or 33 million VND, depending on the version.

Additionally, its competitive pricing, ranging from 638 to 660 million VND, along with the trusted Toyota brand, contribute to its appeal.

The Hyundai Stargazer also experienced sales growth in February, with 304 units sold, representing a 66.1% increase.

The Stargazer’s biggest advantage is its competitive pricing, ranging from 489 to 599 million VND. In addition, the 2024 upgraded version introduced significant improvements in design and features, making it even more appealing to customers.

The Hyundai Stargazer is powered by a Smartstream G 1.5L 4-cylinder gasoline engine that delivers 115 horsepower and 144 Nm of torque. It is paired with an intelligent iVT CVT transmission and front-wheel drive.

Following the success of the Kia Carnival, the Kia Carens also witnessed improved sales in February 2025, with 279 units sold, representing a 22.9% increase. However, despite its lower price compared to the Carnival, the Carens sold only half as many units.

Previously, the Kia Carens was available in seven versions and three engine options. However, the Kia Vietnam website now lists only four versions, with prices ranging from 634 to 764 million VND. Additionally, three versions of the Carens, namely 1.5G IVT, 1.5G Luxury, and 1.4T Signature, are currently offered with a 5-million-VND discount.

In terms of powertrain options, the Kia Carens has been streamlined to offer two engine choices. The first is a 1.5L 4-cylinder gasoline engine that produces 113 horsepower and 144 Nm of torque, paired with an IVT automatic transmission. The second option is a 1.4L 4-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine that generates 138 horsepower and 242 Nm of torque, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Honda BR-V: 221 units

Unlike its competitors in the segment, the Honda BR-V experienced a sales decline of 39.4%, with only 221 units sold in February.

February 2025 also saw positive sales growth for the Suzuki XL7, with a 24.8% increase to 166 units sold.
