A female truck driver from Nam Dinh province was fined VND 133 million and had four points deducted from her driving license for running a red light a total of seven times after entering Thai Binh province.
On the morning of March 14, the Traffic Police of Thai Binh province reported that a truck with license plate 18C-124.xx had violated traffic signals by running a red light seven times within two weeks in Thai Binh city. The driver, Ms. V.T.L. (born in 2002, from Vu Ban district, Nam Dinh province), came to the Traffic Police office to settle the fine. For the above violation, Ms. L. was fined VND 133 million, had four points deducted from her driving license, and her license was temporarily confiscated until the fine was paid.
According to Ms. L., she was driving a truck delivering lunches from Nam Dinh to a company in Nguyen Duc Canh Industrial Park, Thai Binh city, at lunchtime. She did not pay attention to the traffic signals and mistakenly believed that she was allowed to turn left at a red light, which led to multiple violations.
According to the camera footage extracted by the authorities, the truck with license plate 18C-124.06 violated the traffic signals a total of seven times (five times during the week of February 19-25 and twice during the week of February 26 – March 4).
Notably, all seven violations occurred at the same location – the intersection between the S1 bypass road and DT.454 provincial road (Tan Binh intersection, Thai Binh city).
