Recently, an Aston Martin DB11 V8 sports car was spotted in Hanoi with the license plate 30M-177.71, sparking interest from online communities as this license plate was previously seen on the first McLaren GT supercar in Vietnam.
Thus, after selling the McLaren GT, this Hanoi businessman promptly purchased the four-seat Aston Martin DB11 V8 and registered the same license plate, transferring it to his new ride.
Interestingly, the Aston Martin DB11 V8 is one of the few rivals to the McLaren GT. In terms of design, the Aston Martin DB11 features a “clam shell” hood made from a single piece of aluminum, and the V8 and V12 versions are differentiated by the number of air vents—two on the V8 and four on the V12.
The rear deck of the Aston Martin DB11 boasts a transparent glass panel that offers a glimpse into the cockpit, above which sits the brake light. An additional feature is the Virtual Spoiler, which enhances the car’s aerodynamics.
The tail end of the Aston Martin DB11 sports a pair of LED taillights in the shape of a ‘C,’ which differ from the Aston Martin Vanquish’s thicker lights, with the bottom of the ‘C’ extending to the rear deck.
Most Aston Martin DB11s in Vietnam are equipped with a V8 engine, twin-turbocharged, with a 4.0-liter capacity produced by Mercedes-AMG. This is due to the more favorable special consumption tax rate.
This powerhouse delivers a maximum output of 510 horsepower and 675 Nm of torque. The Aston Martin DB11 V8’s engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission from ZF, sending power to the rear wheels, enabling the car to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just four seconds and reach a top speed of 301 km/h.
Aston Martin offers three driving modes for the DB11 V8: GT for exemplary ride quality, ‘S’ for sport, which can be activated by pressing a button on the steering wheel, and Sport Plus, which awakens the suspension, steering, transmission, and Torque Vectoring system for the ultimate thrilling driving experience.
